So when I first moved out to LA, and I was waiting hand and foot on the rich and famous in a video store, I realized that I'd need some portfolio pieces if I was ever going to get a job doing storyboards. I came up with these three scenes, two of which are based on old comic ideas. All trying to show some different kind of tone. I have to say, looking at these and the Gulag boards- I've come along quite a bit. Of note is the fact that, since I was fresh out of grad school and physically addicted to the texture, I did these boards entirely in litho crayon.
