I can't even recall how many times we revised this sequence. But for the most part, what you see below made it to the screen. In the backgrounds of these you'll see the giant counterweights that Mignola designed for the scene. If I'm not mistaken, you can see the original animatic for this sequence on the DVD. Complete with my voice (two octaves lower) as Hellboy!
