Another one of those sequences that takes forever to board it out right and then only takes a few moments to play out on film. Oh, well. I really was hoping this battle would be longer, but if you look, almost all the elements showed up in the film. The only thing cut out was the little side bit with Hellboy going after the grenade belt on the ledge. Actually kind of silly, but it would have been nice to see the gearworks. I think that was part of Mike's initial design of the room- that it would have all these holes in the floor and walls through which you could see the enormous gears winding. But still, my first giant monster sequence.
